Hypebeast Puts Their Spin On The 501

Our friends over at Hypebeast recently tried our 501®s on for size, and we’re digging the way each editor put his spin on the classic button-fly jeans. The 501®, which turns 140 years old this year, remains one of the most iconic and versatile items out there.

We’re not surprised the Hypebeast team’s 501® looks are remarkably distinct, and reflect each editor’s personal style perspective. Check out some of our favorites below.

This “Conceptual” look includes a pair of Mineral Red 501®s, paired with a black Philip Lim jacket, an APC tee, and sneakers from Kris Van Assche. A thoroughly contemporary look that incorporates some classic elements.

Hypebeast Managing Editor Eugene Kan styled this “Contemporary” look, using a pair of true blue 501®s as a base for a layered look that’s clean and modern.

HYPETRAK editor Petar Kujundzic pulled together this comfortable “Classic” look that pairs some indigo 501®s with an untucked oxford and Chuck Taylors.

Arthur Bray put his spin on these Ivy Green 501®s, adding a denim vest and rugged boots.

Marketing guru Alex Maeland’s streetwear-inspired look pairs these khaki 501®s with a camo jacket and beanie.

To celebrate the 501®, we’re looking for the most unique style interpretations of the iconic jean from around the world. Share your interpretation of the iconic jean via Instagram using #501 to join the celebration.
